This recipe is our preferred blend of beeswax and paraffin waxes, giving a smooth even burn without too much dripping.

 9.60 oz Bees Wax
 6.40 oz Paraffin Wax
1

Add paraffin and bees waxes to melting pot.

2

Melt and gently stir to combine.

3

Bring wax to about 170°F. Add any scents or dyes before carefully pouring candle.

4

As candle cools and wax sets the was will shrink creating a well. Pierce the wax in a couple places to release surface tension then top off the mold with more melted wax. Larger size candles may require a second top off.

This 1 pound recipe will yield any of the following types of candles:

  • Ten 6-inch tall, .6-inch diameter tapers
  • Four 12-inch tall, .75-inch diameter tapers
  • One 4-inch tall, 3-inch diameter pillar

Candle yield will vary, based on mold shape.

10-50 drops of essential oil can be combined with the melted wax, depending on scent and strength desired.
