1

In a large glass jar, combine all of the ingredients, except the vinegar and honey. The order of ingredients is not important, they'll be mixed up shortly.

NOTE - Use a Glass Jar. Metal should not be used and plastic is not recommended.

2

Fill the jar with the Apple Cider Vinegar, being sure that the ingredients are completely submerged.

3

Across the top of the jar, put a layer of wax paper or plastic wrap; then close the lid. The wax paper or plastic wrap helps ensure the jar stays sealed and that the ingredients do not get stuck in the lid or deteriorate the lid.

Shake the jar to mix the ingredients.

Set it aside for 3-4 weeks. It helps to mark the date on a calendar.

Every day, shake the jar. It is fine to shake a few times a day, but it needs to be shaken at least once every day.

Strain the solution to remove all bits and debris, leaving just the liquid. Squeeze the solid ingredients to recover as much solution as possible.

Straining can be done with unbleached coffee filters, cheesecloth or paper towels.
Sediment will often clog the pores of the straining medium; be prepared to change the filtering material multiple times.

6

Stir the honey into the liquid until it dissolves. Add more honey as needed, or omit honey entirely, depending on your personal preference.

7

Bottle the solution in multiple bottles and store in a cool, dark place to help retain freshness.

Glass bottles with plastic (or plastic lined lids) are highly recommended. The fire cider will corrode metal and weaken some plastics.
