Chili recipe with just a little heat and lots of flavor. We keep hot sauce on hand for kicking it up in individual bowls as needed for taste of the person consuming it. This Chili has beans in it, which to many people that enjoy chili is a violation of the definition for chili. This recipe is a modification of the chili recipe I got from my manager in the late 1980s. 5 lbs Ground turkey (or low fat ground beef) 2 cups Green bell peppers (About 2 large) 10 oz Tomato soup 28 oz Crushed tomatoes with basil 14.50 oz Chopped tomatoes 15.50 oz Light red kidney beans (drained) 2 tsp Minced garlic 1 tbsp Chili powder 0.25 cup Chopped or minced yellow onion 4 qts Slow Cooker |

In a frying pan, brown the ground meat. Drain the cooked out fat and then dump the browned meat into the slow cooker pot.
Saute the peppers and onions in the frying pan, until tender. Optional - add a little water or wine to deglaze the pan as the peppers and onions saute. Dump the contents into the slow cooker pot.
Add the remaining ingredients into the slow cooker pot and cook at low heat for 3-4 hours.
